A) National stud farms :
The National stud farms of Sidi Thabet, dating 1866, become specialized in the breeding of the Tunisian Arabian horses, situated in the North of the country, in the governorate of Ariana.
The National Stud farm of El Battan, situated in the North of the country, in the governorate of Manouba, accommodates all the national stallions of races thoroughbred Barb, Ara-Barb and Pony of Mogods and oversees the activities of mating stations.
The National Stud farms of Raccada, Maknessy and Ben Guerdane implanted in the center and in the South of the country respectively in the governorates of Kairouan, Sidi Bouzid, and Medenine, insure the public mating of Arabian horses, thoroughbred horses, Barb and Arab-Barb horses.
B) Mating stations :
31 Mating farms, distributed on all the territory of the country and opened during the season of reproduction (from February 15th till June 15th of every year) to horses Barb, Arab-Barb and Pony of Mogods.
